About The Portman Estate

The Portman Estate is a family run estate with a 500-year history. The Estate owns and manages 110 acres of Marylebone, London and 3,000 acres of rural land at Burtley in Buckinghamshire and in Herefordshire.

It has managed and protected circa 2,000 acres of farmland on the Portman Burtley Estate in Buckinghamshire since 1948. Beeches Park is located in the northernmost part of the farm.

The assets of The Portman Estate are governed by Trusts, and owned by the Trustees on behalf of the beneficiaries. Under the governance of eleven independent Trustees, a management company looks after both the day to day running of the business and future planning.

Much of the income generated from the Estate is reinvested to promote long term growth and the wellbeing of all residents, business occupiers and visitors.

The Estate’s spirit of stewardship and commitment embraces how it works continuously to improve both the environment and the experience for its tenants. Such an approach allows the Estate to develop public spaces and support local schools, community organisations and charities which benefit the wider neighbourhoods.

The Portman Estate has appointed Savills to act as its agent in the development of the outline planning application.
